What is Cabinet Overlay?
Overlay (sometimes called “reveal”) refers to the amount of cabinet face frame that is covered by the doors and drawer headers. In the end, the overlay decision is one of personal tastes and budgets. Most Showplace door styles are offered in two overlays: partial or full overlay. A few door styles are offered in full overlay only. In addition, several styles are offered in elegant inset versions. Full, partial, and inset doors and drawer headers are available on a framed cabinet box. ShowplaceEVO doors and drawer headers are available ONLY on a frameless (full-access) cabinet box.
Can I customize the box construction or just the door style?
You can customize both. Choose from frame type, wood species, finish color, door profile, drawer hardware, and interior accessories. Every cabinet is built to order.
What kind of warranty comes with Showplace cabinets?
Showplace Cabinetry offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original residential purchaser, covering defects in material or workmanship under normal use for as long as you own the home. (Longview by Showplace is excluded.) Warranty applies to purchases through authorized dealers only. It is not for rental properties and is non-transferable. If we confirm a defect, we’ll repair or replace the part. Labor, installation, removal, and incidental damages are not covered. We may update designs without recalling prior models. For discontinued product, we’ll substitute the closest available style, wood, and color. Exact match is not guaranteed due to natural aging.
What is a Character Stain?
Some stains mute variations in wood – the darker the stain, the more variation is hidden. Character stains provide a rich, semi-translucent look accentuating the grain and variation found in natural wood. Try it with one of our Showplace specialty woods to make your eye-catching cabinetry all the more noticeable.
Do you handle removal of old cabinets and countertops?
Yes. We include demo and disposal of your existing setup as part of the project scope. That way you don't need to coordinate a separate crew.
What should I have ready before the first consultation?
A rough idea of your layout, a few inspiration photos, and your wish list. We'll handle the measurements, design work, and product recommendations from there.
